I hereby congratulate most cordially Banneux N.D.Organization for Asian Pilgrims for having organized in 2010 the 25th annual pilgrimage for Asian Catholics, living in Western-Europe, to the sanctuary of the Holy Virgin Mary in Banneux. The annual pilgrimages to Banneux help to maintain, strengthen and deepen the faith of Asian Catholics, living in various countries in Western Europe. By organizing these pilgrimages your organization is making a great contribution to their lives as followers of Christ. The Mother of God is for all of us the most important example of how we should dedicate ourselves to God. “Behold I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word”(Luke 1:38). Moreover, she is our greatest intercessor for God’s grace and help. Having been taken into heaven with soul and body, she is able to bring our prayers and needs for God as no other saint can do. Holy Mary is venerated in Banneux as Mary Virgin of the poor. And we are all poor, Europeans or Asians, in one way or another. Rich or less rich, healthy of less healthy, materially or spiritually in every respect, Holy Mary is our intercessor par excellence. I will pray that the Lord Jesus will bless abundantly the work of Banneux N.D. Organization for Asian Pilgrims at the intercession of Holy Mary Virgin of the poor.
