My dear Asian Pilgrims to Our Lady of Banneux,
Greetings and Prayerful best wishes from Fr. Arul Singarayar from India.
I was immensely glad and very happy to hear about the 25th Annual pilgrimage to our Lady of Banneux to be held on the 29th May 2010 and on this occasion you are getting ready to publish a souvenir to mark the festive celebration.
It is in my fond memory that exactly 10 years back when I came to Den Haag for my studies how I collaborated with you in the years 2000 and 2001. And later when I visited you in the 2004 also I have seen the remarkable development. This is done not simply for the sake of pilgrimage alone but on regular basis the way you arrange mass and other pious activities tell the total involvement and interest for the welfare of the people.
The Catholic Church is trying to make the laity involve in the activities of the Church not simply as participants alone in the liturgy but the Church also encourages the laity to take the lead and animate the programmes as for as possible. It is in this line I do appreciate all those who are involved in this Organisation of Asian Pilgrims to Our Lady of Banneux for their wonderful work for the past 25 years. In a special manner, I whole heartedly appreciate Mr. Francis Pathmarajah and his family members for their dedicated service in this ministry. Continue with the same spirit for the betterment of the people of God for many more years.
